Tamale High Court cancels bench warrant for Savelugu MP

The Circuit Court judge in Accra has adjourned to the 19th of January 2021, the case involving five persons, including a retired midwife, alleged to be involved in stealing and sale of babies at Atuabo and Half Assini in the Western Region.

This is because the Presiding Judge, Evelyn Asamoah is on leave.

The five were on the 10th of November, 2021 charged and granted a combined bail in the sum of GH₵ 750,000.

The first accused person, Cynthia Beyeden, a 63-year-old Retired Midwife, is facing two counts of child stealing, while the other charges have been spread.

They were all granted bail in the sum of GH₵150,000 each with two sureties to be justified with title deeds.

They are to report to the Police every 20th December, 2021 until the final determination of the case.
