Women in Poultry value chain fear high cost of feed could collapse their businesses

Members of the Volta Regional branch of Women in Poultry Value Chain have appealed to government to support them to get animal feed at affordable rates to save their businesses from collapse.

An Executive member of the group, Gladys Migbodzi said the affordability of animal feed and formulae as well as drugs are a major challenge for small scale poultry farmers.

Meanwhile, members of the Volta Regional Women in Poultry Value Chain have presented eggs and beverages to children at the Madamfo Ghana Children’s Shelter in Ho to mark International Women’s Day, which was celebrated yesterday.

Leader of the group, Dzidudu Dake Mensah said they will continue to extend their help to needy institutions.
