The Overlord of the Dagbon Traditional Area, Ya -Naa Abubakari Mahama has advised Radio Stations against activities that will undermine the current peace in the area.
He said the Dagbon Traditional Area went through difficult times and everyone must ensure that the current peace is sustained.
Ya -Naa Abubakari gave the advice when Management of GBC-Radio Savannah paid a visit to the Gbewa Palace at Yendi.
The visit was to introduce the new Regional Director of the Corporation, Yaw Ampofo Kwarteng, to the Overlord and also discuss issues of mutual concern.
The Ya -Naa described radio Savannah, as the Mother of Radio Stations in the region. He commended the station for exhibiting Professionalism since its establishment and urged other stations to emulate GBC-Radio Savannah.
The Ya-Naa reiterated a call on Management of GBC to establish a Radio Station at Yendi to serve the people of the area.
For his part, the Northern Regional Director of GBC, Mr. Kwarteng, thanked the Overlord for the warm reception.
He said GBC is working hard to open a station at Yendi to bring information closer to the people.
Mr. Kwarteng said GBC will always maintain its Professionalism to sustain the peace in the area.
Earlier, the team paid a courtesy call on the Yendi Municipal Chief Executive, Hammed Abubakar Yussif.
The MCE pledged his support for the Corporation.
