Your investments will be protected- President Akufo-Addo tells Norwegians

President Akufo-Addo has touted Ghana’s investment potential to Norwegian investors and called on them to make the country their number one investment destination in Africa. He asked the Business Community in Norway to take advantage of the Business-Friendly climate in Ghana, to invest in the areas of water, health, railway and the government flagship programs.

President Akufo-Addo was speaking in Accra at the Second Ghana-Norway Investment Forum.

He said the government has instituted a number of incentives for investors and assured them that their investments will be protected.

The Ghana-Norway Business forum seeks to promote business opportunities between the two countries, adding value to companies doing business in African markets in general and Ghana in particular.

It also serves as a launch pad for engagement between the business community in Ghana and their counterparts in Norway.

Ghana in recent times has seen a significant rise in interest from Norwegian investors.

Records from the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, shows that a total of 29 Norwegian projects with a value of %175 million have been registered. Norwegian Ambassador to Ghana, Ingrid Mollestad, described Ghana as one of the most stable, democratic and developed oriented countries in Africa.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Yoofi Grant, spoke of why Ghana should be their preferred Investment destination.

The Minister of information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, who represented the Minister of Trade, said the government has created a robust economy that will make investments strive.

President Akufo-Addo assured Norwegian businesses that their investments in the country will be protected.

The Business and Investment Forum is themed “Reconvene, Reconnect and Re-engage”.

It is believed that Trade and Investment between Ghana and Norway will further increase after this forum.
