The young student making Headline on social media handles in Ghana, Viemen Bamford is the youngest among over 2,900 fresh students into the feeders of the University of Ghana, Accra City Campus.
He is currently studying Public Administration in the school of distance education.
Bamford was home tutored by his father for three years before sitting for November-December Examination (NOV-DEC) for the WASSCE certificate.
He attended his lower primary in Achim Oda in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
According to Bamford, their father teaches them what they love most. These are the criteria that help them to understand everything their father teaches.
The 12-year-old boy is the second of three children from the Bamford Family.
He further stated their father teaches them Cambridge and WASSCE Syllabus. This helps them to have adequate knowledge in all folds.
Robert Bamford the father of the young scholar has been home teaching his children for years.
He stated he makes use of phonetics, pronunciation, mathematics, WASSCE syllabus and Cambridge syllabus.
Mr. Bamford said, what hinders his children from not getting classroom studies is due to financial aid.
Viemens is not the only student who has achieved massively at the end. Edwin Bamford upper-class honors from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology who is now an Environmental scientist who went through home tuition in the hands of his father.
Edwin said, their father’s method of teaching is good but hectic and embarrassing.
“When we started, some of our friends will be in uniform going to school. We will be in the house doing something else” he stated.
Edwin completed KNUST at the age of 20 years.
Viemens’ dream is to become the president of Ghana to eradicate inflation in the country. He believes there is more to put in the nation to ensure development.
