More than hundred structures have been demolished at Ritz junction near the Madina-Adenta Highway.
Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, Head of Central Administration at the La Nkwantenang Madina Municipal Assembly, Musa Sensau said residents were notified of the demolition last December.
He explained that the exercise was to rid the place of criminals and prostitutes.
Mr. Sensau assured the residents that the Municipal Security Council and the Assembly is working to keep Madina safe.
Some residents at the Adentan-West near Hallelujah junction have also threatened to block the main drainage linking the Adentan Madina Highway.
Chairman of the EP residents Association, Emmanuel Domale, said the state of the uncompleted drain poses a flooding danger during heavy rains.
Reacting to this, Mr. Sensau said the Assembly is ready to support any Association that wishes to dredge their drains.
