Activa International Insurance Company Limited was last night adjudged the cedant of the year in the General Business Category for the 2018 financial year by Ghana Reinsurance Company Limited.
In the Life Business Category Metropolitan Life Insurance picked the coveted prize of cedant of the year.
This was at the 10th Cedant awards night of Ghana Reinsurance Compnay in Accra.
Twelve other companies received prizes for their diligent efforts, loyalty and support to the Reinsurer.
The Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Rev. Daniel Ogbarney Tetteh, who was the Guest Speaker Stressed the need for regulators in the financial sector to work closer together.
Managing Director of Ghana Reinsurance, George Mensah said, the Insurance industry in the country has experienced significant growth as portrayed by the increase in the brokerage in insurance firms and insurance companies.
