Surprisingly, WAFA SC are without a win in last three matches and will summon every tact and wit to gun down Liberty Professionals on Friday(January 24) in Sogakope.

The Academy Boys have played three consecutive draws (Elmina Sharks, Hearts of Oak and Inter Allies.

It all started when head coach Dr Prosper Narteh was forced to alter his starting XI for their third league match due to injuries.

Hopefully, the University of Cape Coast lecturer will have all his unfit players ready to face Liberty.

WAFA have a better head-to-head record against the Dansoman-based and it looks like the tradition will continue tomorrow.

But this season, Liberty Professionals have been impressive on the road.

Their first trip was to Berekum Chelsea and returned unscathed in a 0-0 draw before beating limping Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 in Cape Coast.

However, they let themselves down by conceding late goals in their 2-1 home defeat to Hearts of Oak.

Head coach David Ocloo, who tendered in his resignation on Monday, remains at post and he vowed to work on his troops to get a favourbale result.

”I think they were down when we played Hearts of Oak but after some pep talk, they are up again and going so I think going to WAFA, I’m expecting a good response and positive response,” he said.

”To be honest, I have never played against them but I have watched a couple of their matches so I have a good strategy or system to counter them tomorrow.”
