The Ghanaian Times commends President Akufo-Addo for assenting to the law on Right To Information and all those who made it possible for the passage of the bill. It also salutes civil society and the media for putting up a good fight which has finally culminated into the passage of the law. The Times says Ayekoo to all Ghanaians for a law that would help involve more people in politics and increase trust in governance.

The Daily Graphic is worried about the assault by disgruntled citizens on some officers of the Power Distribution Service who had gone to the Yilo Krobo area to carry out a disconnection exercise by disgruntled citizens. It says the Krobo Foundation which is championing the cause of compensation has not been able to produce any document on the MOU that was purported to have been reached between the VRA and the people of Krobo. The paper says it will be the first to jump to the defence of the people of Kroboland if they are able to produce the MOU. It urges, the Lower Manya and Yilo Krobo Municipal Assemblies to table the issue at their meetings and brainstorm for a lasting solution to the problem. The Graphic also suggest town hall meetings among the assemblies, the PDS, traditional authorities and the leadership of the Krobo Foundation to sensitise the people to the need to pay their bills.
