The Daily Graphic has expressed satisfaction with efforts to deepen Ghana and EU ties. The paper says it expects more from the political dialogue series which among other things will foster and strengthen linkages in all sectors. The paper urges the Environmental Protection Agency to be a platform for sustained dialogue between the parties on matters relating to trade.
The Ghanaian Times expressed worry over continuous travels to the Gulf States despite a ban on migration to such countries. The paper says a report by the Centre for Migration studies that reveals people still travel to the Gulf region means the ban has been ineffective. The Times therefore appeals to the government to take another look at it with the view of strengthening and plugging the loophole to make it effective. It also asks government to ratify the ILO treaty on domestic workers, and reform the labour and immigration laws to ensure that domestic workers in the Gulf States rights are protected.
