Deputy Education Minister in charge of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has urged basic school students to be focused and study hard for brighter future. He made the school children understand that, it’s their mindset that will make them successful.
The America trained educationist, who is the Member of Parliament, (MP), for Bosomtwe Constituency in the Ashanti Region, encouraged the students to think positively be confident in themselves and learn hard, irrespective of their environment or school infrastructure, stressing that:, “The dream of an American Child is to become the best in the world no matter what”.
Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum inspired the school children on Tuesday, when he accompanied The Member of Parliament, (MP), for Okaikoi North in the Greater Accra Region, Issah Fuseini to pay a working visit to two Basic Schools, Alzakiya Isalmic and Nii Boi Town SDA at Lapaz a suburb of Accra.
The Minister in an interview, expressed joy over the performance of the school children and encourage them to do more.
“I am excited to be in these schools, they are great schools in my friend constituency. The reason been that, when you come and spend time with the children, you begin to understand the values of what we do”. He noted.
He said these schools have a great future and promised to work with his colleague MP on how to deal with some of the dilapidated infrastructure of schools in long term.
The headteachers of the schools were grateful to their MP and The Deputy Minister for taking time out of their busy schedules to spend time with the school children.
