The Accra Technical University, formerly known as Accra Poly, has recorded its first case of covid-19.
In a statement signed by the Acting Director Of Public Affairs of the school, the patient is a national service personnel at one of their academic departments and currently isolated at a medical facility and responding to treatment.
Colleagues who came into contact with the confirmed covid-19 patient have been counseled and their samples taken for laboratory testing.
The statement further says the university’s medical team and safety and health committee are in touch with students to provide the needed support
