The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations has whittled down to its gripping final four, turning the tournament’s into high-stakes showdown.

With early exits behind them, Senegal, Egypt, Morocco and Nigeria now command the table, each hungry for glory on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Voices amplify, tensions simmer and the continent watches as history hangs in the balance.

Kicking off at 17:00 GMT in Tangier, Senegal faces Egypt in a semifinal dripping with unfinished business.

The Teranga Lions advanced with a disciplined 1-0 quarterfinal win over 10-man Mali, Iliman Ndiaye’s early strike setting the tone for their masterful control.

Egypt, the seven-time champions eyeing a record eighth title, survived a thrilling 3-2 thriller against defending champs Ivory Coast, thanks to Omar Marmoush, Rami Rabia and Mohamed Salah’s clutch magic.

Salah shoulders the Pharaohs’ legacy, but Senegal’s 2021 final penalty triumph adds revenge fuel to this fiery clash.

Later at 20:00 GMT in Rabat, hosts Morocco welcome Nigeria to a cauldron of expectation.

The Atlas Lions dominated Cameroon 2-0 in the quarters, with Brahim Diaz and Ismael Saibari shining—Diaz now scoring in all five matches, etching his name into lore.

Reaching their first semifinal since 2004, Morocco chases a first title since 1976, powered by home roar at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles counter with explosive flair, dismantling Algeria 2-0 via Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams, marking their record 17th semifinal run.

These battles promise chaos, brilliance, and heartbreak, as winners advance to Sunday’s final in Rabat while losers fight for third in Casablanca on Saturday.

Morocco’s home edge clashes with Nigeria’s fearless attack, just as Senegal’s grit tests Egypt’s pedigree—four nations, one trophy, endless pride.

AFCON 2025 pulses at its peak: Africa’s football family united in rivalry, ready to crown a champion amid roaring crowds and continental dreams.
