Private legal practitioner, Inusah Fuseini has advised the ranking member of the appointment committee, Alexander Afenyo Markin to withdraw his remark made during the commencement of the vetting process of the Chief Justice nominee or leave the process when it resumes.

Speaking on TV3 during the break on November 10, 2025, Mr. Fuseini advised that Afenyo Markin withdraw the statement when the process resumes or leave.

“I expect Afenyo Markin to withdraw that word, if he refuses, get him to leave”, he said.

The ranking member, Alexander Afenyo Markin had initially called the Chief Justice nominee, Justice Paul Baffoe Bonnie a ‘disputed nominee’ at the beginning of the vetting process which resulted in a clash between the Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga and Afenyo Markin.

He added that the behavior put up by the ranking member was an act of insubordination towards the Chairman of the committee.

Mahama Ayariga asked for an apology from Afenyo Markin to be addressed to the Chief Justice nominee but that act led to the banter between both parties with the Chairman of the committee, Bernard Ahiafor having to call for a break of the vetting process.
