Agotime-Ziope MP supports fight against Covid-19

The Member of Parliament for Agotime-Ziope in the Volta Region, Charles Agbeve, has donated some items to the Agotime-Ziope Health Directorate in his bid to prevent the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.

The items donated on Thursday, March 19, 2020 include three (3) 350 liter Poly tanks (with fabricated stands), ten (10) Veronica buckets, ten (10) wooden tables, ten cartons (720 pieces) of carbolic soaps and five (5) thermometer guns.

He has also promised to supply ten thousand (10,000) liters of water per week to keep the facility running for the next four weeks.

The Poly tanks are to be placed at Kpetoe lorry station (Kente Village), Kpetoe market and Ziope market respectfully.

The items were presented by the Constituency Executives led by Constituency Chairman, Alfred Eklu Odikro, on his behalf of the MP.

Receiving the items, the District Director of Health Services, Mathew Ayamba Adam expressed appreciation to the MP for his continuous support for healthcare delivery in the district.

He pointed out a number of assistance the directorate so far received from the MP since November 2019 when he (director) was transferred to the district.

This included among others, the renovation of his office.

Mr. Ayamba pledged that the items will be put to their intended use.

He further prayed for more of such supports to help prevent the spread of COVID – 19 and other health related diseases from individuals and groups.
