The case of Rosemond Brown popularly known as ‘Akuapem Poloo’ sharing a naked photo of herself and her seven year-old son has been transferred to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit, of the Police DOVVSU.
This was disclosed by the Executive Director of Child’s Rights International, Bright Appiah, on the GBC’s Uniiq Breakfast Drive with Cecil Obodai Wentum.
He said although the welfare principle allows parents to take decision in the best interest of their children their privacy and dignity must not be disregarded.
They’ve refereed the matter to DOVVSU to deal with it. Initially, CID was handling it and because of the child involved, they have decided to hand over the matter to DOVVSU. Even if you are ignorant with the law, your conscience should be able to speak to you that there are certain activities that you cannot do with your child.
