Alhaji Yahaya Sadugu Daudi retains U/W RFA chairmanship position

Alhaji Yahaya Sadugu Daudi has won the Regional Football Association (RFA) chairmanship position for Upper West at a congress held in Wa.

He polled 16 of the 36 votes cast to beat off a challenge from two others, Naa Hamidu Seidu Bomison and Alhaji Moro Ahmed Baba, thereby retaining the post.

Naa Seidu Bomison had seven votes with Ahmed Baba getting 13 votes.

The election was supervised by Electoral Commission led by the Regional Director, Ali Adamu Osman who announced the outcome of poll and declared Alhaji Sadugu Daudi the winner.

Naa Seidu Bomison and Alhaji Ahmed Baba, showed good sportsmanship by congratulating Alhaji Sadugu Daudi for winning and had a photo session with him.

In short victory Speech, Alhaji Sadugu Daudi congratulated the his two challengers for their competitive spirit and assured them that he will invite them to assist him  in running the association, saying, I cant do it alone, I will need your support to further uplift the image of football in the region [Upper West].

He said: I will like to call on everyone to be more united than before, once the election is over, it is time for action.

Alhaji Sadugu Daudi indicated that football cannot be the same under his chairmanship and pointed out that pretty soon, he will be announcing a policy document that will outline the structures and plans for the Regional Football Association and football in the Upper West Region.

William Bossman represented the Ghana Football Association at the congress as its election official.

The number of delegates at the congress should have been 37, but one of them could not make it to the event.
