All beaches in Ghana closed to prevent spread of COVID-19

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has ordered the closure of all beaches to the public until further notice.

This follows government’s directive to suspend all public gatherings.

In a statement, the GTA said it will begin patrolling beaches Tuesday, March 24, with National Security and the Ghana Police Service to ensure compliance with the order.

The Statement urged the public and tourist business operators to be mindful of the precautionary measures announced by the president to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
