The Dormaa East District Assembly in conjunction with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, MoFA have started distributing about 500,000 cashew seedlings to about 2,500 farmers in the Dormaa East District of the Bono Region.
This represents an increase of more than 200,000 seedlings distributed last year.
The distribution is under the Planting for Export and Rural Development is to boost Cashew production in the district.
In an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, the DCE, Kofi Agyeman said so far, they have been able to distribute more than 400,000 out of the targeted 500,000.
