The 39th Annual Convention of Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Ghana is currently underway in the Upper East Regional Capital, Bolgatanga.

The Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya among the three wings of Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission is a youth wing and backbone of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Communities.

It was established by the second caliph to the Promised Messiah on the precept of inculcating in the youth love for Allah and that of the Holy Prophet Muhammed and to strive for the welfare of humanity.

The Annual Convention of the Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Ghana is represented by three thousand, five hundred, 3500, participants from all the ten regions of the country.

The Ijtema’a which has gained international recognition is graced by Majalis from five different countries including Mali, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Uganda.

Speaking at the convention, the Ameer and Missionary In-Charge, Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana, Alhajj Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, said the condition for achieving salvation from sin is to inculcate a feeling of shame and regret in one’s heart for such deeds.

He said each person’s conscience has the power to alert and forewarn before every evil deed but the misfortunate one lets such power go to waste. He stated that when one repents, begs for Allah’s forgiveness and bows down in repentance before Him, one should firmly resolve never to commit that sin again.

He said being a Muslim and an Ahmadi or a follower of the Promised Messiah only requires them to live a life that bears a description of a Muslim.

He emphasized that being a Muslim should not be identified only in the long bears they wear but a Muslim is he who believes in Allah and His messenger and then doubt not but strive with their possessions and persons in the cause of Allah.

Touching on the Building of the National Cathedral, the Ameer and Missionary in-charge, Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana, Alhajj Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, said there is nothing wrong with government releasing land for the Building of the National Cathedral but the challenges and the many questions started when the government mentioned the same project as one of its flagship projects for the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the country.

He wondered why bungalows build for judges under the country’s impoverish economy five years ago will be demolished to pave way for the building of a National Cathedral.

He said the move by Christians to build a National Cathedral is a step in the right direction and expressed worry over how government is making it look like it is the implementer of the project.

Alhajj Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih said if government creates an avenue for human beings to have biases, the biases will develop into hatred among the citizenry.
