The President of the Students Representative Council (SRC) of Accra Technical University (ATU), Mr. Terry Ofori Baffour has tasked the government to provide incentives for young people who want to go into farming and other agribusinesses.

According to him, such incentives and awards would make the Agriculture sector attractive to the youth and eventually grow the sector.

Mr. Baffour made this assertion on Wednesday, November 3, 2022, when he appeared on the GTV’s current Affairs program the Breakfast Show.

“I think Ghana’s economic future rests on agriculture. The youth are great at technology. If we can start getting the youth to think of solutions that are agric-based and put in awards and incentives, it will give them a reason to venture into the sector,” he reiterated.
