First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo has called on Women Entrepreneurs to be bold to take up key challenging roles in the country.

This, she says, will place women in key sector positions to be key players of the economy.

While delivering her keynote address at the launch of the AGI-Women in Business which was on the theme “Promoting women enterprises for gender equity towards competitiveness,” she encouraged women entrepreneurs to move out of their comfort zones and move to bigger platforms where their impact will be greatly and better felt.

“Companies with female leadership tend to do better in many respects. In my opinion, there are far too few women in our boardrooms. Again, in our part of the world, when we talk about women owning businesses we are talking mainly small and medium-sized businesses. I believe that women can also be owners or partners in conglomerates also employing people,” she explained.
