GIPC still committed to its $10 billion target

The Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC) is committed to its ambitious target of attracting $10 billion worth of foreign and domestic  investments, the Chief Executive Officer,  Yofi Grant has said.             

Stating that:, “We are still targeting $10 billion”.

Mr. Grant said  Ghana will embrace  partnership with foreign and domestic investors, to achieve its target to build the economy.

In an interview on an Accra based private TV, ‘Joy News’ as part of local media interaction, Mr. Grant said Ghana has done well in the past three years in terms of attracting investors.

“We’re focusing on attracting foreign direct investment from Europe,” he said, adding that, a lot of reforms have taken place in the country.“ 

The GIPC boss said, the country has made positive strides and mentioned the appointment of the  Special Prosecutor, stable democracy, and the appointment of President Akufo-Addo to co-Chair SDGs as some of the attractions.

He said these are exciting times for the country to transform and Ghana was  poised to embrace partnership with foreign investors.

He pointed out the difficulties that the GIPC had to face among which is the perception of Africa being a dark continent.

The Center, Yofi Grant said was engaged in follow ups that are extremely important to kill that perception.
