Government to introduce electronic VAT as measure to raise revenue

Government will introduce electronic VAT (E-VAT) as some measures to increase revenue generation.  

As contained in the mid-year budget statement presented to Parliament yesterday, July 25th, 2022, the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta said the Ghana Revenue Authority, GRA is finalizing all relevant processes to that effect.  

The includes a proposed amendment of the VAT Act that will enable the electronic collection from 1st October, this year.
