A new National Development Bank is to be established in the first quarter of 2020.
The Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, says $250 million has been secured from the African Development Bank for that purpose.
Contrary to earlier suggestions that the National Investment Bank (NIB) and Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) will be merged to form a new National Development Bank, the Finance Minister says the two banks will be recapitalised to operate as separate entities.
