President Akufo-Addo has acknowledged the effect of COVID-19 on the social and economic development of the country, but assured that Government, has put in place measures to ensure a vibrant economy to cushion the effects of the pandemic on all.

The President urged Ghanaians to continue to stay safe and sacrifice till the country is free from COVID-19.

The President said this at the virtual May Day Celebrations at Broadcasting House in Accra today (May 1, 2020).

The celebration was under the theme: “COVID-19 in Ghana: Impact on Employment and Working Conditions”.
