Even though the new voters’ identity cards have been accepted as legal for identification, some organizations and institutions do not accept them for business transaction.
A typical case is MTN which does not recognize the new voters’ ID card as a form of identification.
They insist on the old voters’ ID since according to them, the new ones are yet to be leveraged into the system.
A number of people Radio Ghana spoke to criticized the stance of MTN since the new voters’ card has gone through the mill.
