Integrated Customs Management System to undergo scheduled maintenance

By: Dominic HlordziThe Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS) is set to undergo scheduled maintenance on March 4, 2023.

A statement released by the operators of ICUMS, Ghana Link Network Services said the maintenance will begin at 12:01 am and is expected to be completed on the same day at 11:59 pm.During the maintenance period, users will experience intermittent down times and may not be able to access all features of the system.The ICUMS Administrator stated that the exercise is necessary to improve the system’s performance, stability, and security to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of all stakeholders.The ICUMS is an automated customs management system that facilitates the clearance of goods at Ghana’s ports. It is a collaboration between the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), and Ghana Shippers Authority.Since its implementation, the system has been instrumental in reducing clearance times and improving revenue collection at the ports.Stakeholders have been advised to plan their activities accordingly and take any necessary measures to minimize the impact of the maintenance on their operations.The ICUMS Administrator  assured stakeholders that its technical team will work tirelessly to ensure that the maintenance is completed as planned to ensure prompt resumption of operations.
