Vice Chairman of the LPG Marketing Companies Association of Ghana, Gabriel Kumi, has expressed worry about the increase in the price of gas.

He said the 18 pesewas increase on a kilogram of LPG is too high and will not augur well for LPG operators and consumers.

Currently, a kilogram of LPG is being sold for GHC6.30, which the operators say is one of the highest recorded in the history of the industry.

To this end, Mr. Kumi is calling on government to rescind its decision to ease the financial burden on Ghanaians.

He said a downward review of the price will help to increase the patronage of LPG products and save the country’s depleting forest reserves.
