President John Dramani Mahama has assured global investors that Africa is a continent full of opportunities and that Ghana stands as the most reliable entry point to tap into them.

‎‎Speaking at the opening of the 8th Africa–Singapore Business Forum on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, President Mahama declared, “Africa is investable, and Ghana is your reliable gateway to the continent.”

‎‎The President, who is on a three-day state visit to Singapore, said Ghana offers investors stability, reforms, and access to the $3.4 trillion African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) market. He stressed that with Accra hosting the AfCFTA Secretariat and Ghana’s position within ECOWAS, the country offers easy access to more than 400 million consumers.

‎‎President Mahama highlighted Ghana’s flagship “24-hour economy” strategy, designed to make the country competitive by ensuring farms, factories, ports, and service centres can run efficiently around the clock. He outlined four key pillars: Grow24 (irrigated farming), Make24 (industrial parks), Show24 (tourism development), and Connect24 (transport on Lake Volta).

‎‎He noted that Ghana–Singapore trade reached $215 million in 2024, with 69 Singaporean companies already investing more than $2 billion in Ghana. Mahama described Singapore as an ideal partner for Africa, citing its expertise in finance, logistics, and technology.

‎‎The President also pointed to improving economic indicators in Ghana, including easing inflation, a stable cedi, and a better outlook from ratings agencies. He assured investors of credible data and clear opportunities being provided by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre.

‎‎Mahama further called for reforms in the global financial system, noting Africa’s annual financing gap of $1.3 trillion and stressing the need for partnerships that deliver jobs, technology, and long-term growth.

‎‎He concluded by describing Ghana as “a stable, reform-minded country, connected to the AfCFTA, designed for scale, and committed to long-term partnerships based on trust and integrity.” check grammar errors only
