The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers, COPEC, is calling on the National Security Council to as a matter of urgency ensure that Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company (BOST), does not delay any further in activating its Strategic Stock Holding Mandate.
Executive Secretary of the chamber, Duncan Amoah, said National Security must also impress upon BOST to ensure the quick development and operationalisation of all pipelines to ensure a safer and more efficient transportation of fuel across the country.
Mr. Amoah said this has become necessary in view of the recent developments in the Gulf Region as Saudi Arabia’s oil supply was reduced to 50 percent production due to attacks claimed by Yemeni Houthis.
