The Executive Secretary of the Importers and Exporters Association, Samson Asaki Awingobite says the presentation of the 2020 Budget must outline measures aimed at scrapping the Cargo Tracking Note and the removal of the tax stamp.

He added that there was the need for the reversals of the three per cent flat rate imposed on wholesalers to retailers.

Speaking to Radio Ghana ahead of the budget presentation, he said the introduction of the interventions aimed at reducing cost of doing business has not been much helpful.

On the closure of the Nigeria border, Mr. Awingobit said there was the urgent need for heads of the various African countries to meet and take a decision on Nigeria following the introduction of the Africa Continental Free Trade Convention.
