Government and players in the energy sector have been urged to take steps to comprehensively tackle energy sector debts to enhance operations and sustenance of the sector.
In its 2019 report, the Public Interest And Accountability Committee (PIAC), observed that the Ghana National Gas Corporation (GNGC) was unable to pay for raw gas it received from GNPC because Volta River Authority also failed to pay GNGC.
In an interview with GBC News, Technical Manager of PIAC, Mr Mark Agyemang said the debt situation in the sector does not augur well for the industry.
