TexStyles Ghana (TSG), one of Ghana’s leading textile manufacturers and the producer of the iconic GTP and Woodin brands, is set to enter a new phase of its history under Ghanaian ownership.

Olive Africa Partners Fashions, a wholly Ghanaian-owned investment company represented by its co-founding partners, Mr. Kofi Kwakwa and Mr. John Gadzi, has acquired the entire shareholding of Vlisco BV in TexStyles Ghana, together with the Woodin brand, making the investment company the principal shareholder of TSG.

The transaction also includes the transfer of trademarks associated with the company, notably the GTP and Woodin brands, which have long formed an important part of Ghana’s textile heritage and fashion identity.

TexStyles Ghana Limited will continue operating in Ghana under its current management structure to ensure continuity of the company’s operations and its relationships with employees, distributors, retailers and customers.

For Olive Africa Partners Fashions, the acquisition represents both a personal milestone and a strategic investment in Ghana’s textile industry.

TexStyles Ghana has played a central role in the country’s textile sector for decades, producing fabrics widely worn across Ghana and the wider West African region.

Following the acquisition, the company will maintain its operations in Ghana and continue serving its long-standing patrons and customers through its existing distribution network across the West African region.

Managing Director of TexStyles Ghana, Kodwo Agyenim Boateng, expressed appreciation to Vlisco BV for its support over the years.

He said the company was pleased to hear that Vlisco would continue to regard TexStyles Ghana as a partner going forward.

The transaction is expected to become effective in the coming weeks, subject to the fulfilment of all applicable administrative and regulatory requirements.

The acquisition marks a significant development for Ghana’s textile industry, placing one of the country’s most recognisable textile businesses and its heritage brands under Ghanaian ownership.
