UT Bank: Court Orders AG to serve Mr. Amoabeng, 4 others with all documents

The Commercial Division of the Accra High Court has ordered the Attorney-General’s Department to serve former Managing Director of UT Bank, Prince Kofi Amoabeng and four others who are standing trial over the collapse of UT Bank, with all the documents it intends to rely on for the trial.

The Presiding Judge Justice Philip Bright Mensah, gave the AG up to 22nd of June to file their disclosures and serve on the defence team. The Chief State Attorney, Frances Mullen Ansah indicated to the court that the initial return date of the case was 23 of next month instead of today, but they had a notice that the time has been changed to today.

She however told the court that, they were working to have the trial documents filed and served on the accused persons. The case has been adjourned to the 25th of next month.
