The Vanuatu Trade Commission Ghana, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ghana, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and External Trade (Vanuatu), and the Diaspora Affairs Office at the Office of the President of the Republic of Ghana, proudly announces the launch of its inaugural Business and Pleasure Tour, scheduled from 10th February to 21st February 2026.
This historic initiative marks a major step forward in strengthening diplomatic, economic, cultural, and people-to-people ties between Ghana and the Republic of Vanuatu. It represents the first time such a large and diverse delegation will journey from West Africa to the South Pacific for an integrated business, cultural, and leisure mission.
The delegation expected to include businessmen and businesswomen, trade associations, Members of Parliament, Ministers of State, traditional leaders, musicians, investors, creative industry personalities, and enthusiastic global travelers will embark on an unforgettable journey to one of the world’s most serene destinations. Vanuatu, ranked among the top happiest countries on earth out of 150 nations, offers a unique blend of peace, natural beauty, and authentic cultural immersion.
This milestone tour, which coincides with the Valentine season, provides participants with the opportunity to celebrate love, unity, and cross-cultural friendship in one of the most breathtaking environments on the planet. Beyond leisure, the mission will feature high-level engagements, business forums, investment networking, and sector-specific discussions covering trade, tourism, agriculture, climate resilience, and development cooperation.

The Vanuatu Business and Pleasure Tour 2026 is designed to deepen bilateral cooperation, unlock new trade corridors, and expand opportunities for partnership across diverse industries. It is a groundbreaking step that reinforces Ghana’s growing global footprint and strengthens Africa–Pacific relations. Vanuatu’s global profile continues to rise not only through its sports success but also through its celebrated cultural diversity, peaceful society, and unmatched natural beauty.
The nation’s trilingual identity (Bislama, English, and French) reinforces its rich multicultural heritage and strengthens its connection to Africa’s own diverse cultural landscape.
This momentum also provides a perfect lead-up to one of the Commission’s flagship initiatives the Vanuatu Business and Pleasure Tour 2026, scheduled from 10th to 21st February 2026. This historic maiden tour, organized in collaboration with key Ghanaian and Vanuatu government institutions, will take Ghanaian and African business leaders, Ministers, MPs, traditional leaders, trade associations, musicians, investors, creatives, and leisure travelers to Vanuatu.
Participants will explore opportunities in tourism, agriculture, finance, digital innovation, sustainable development, real estate, climate resilience, and Pacific–Africa trade cooperation. Coinciding with the Valentine season, the tour will also offer an exceptional leisure experience in one of the world’s most beautiful and peaceful countries ranked among the top happiest nations globally. Attendees will enjoy both high-level engagements and unforgettable cultural immersion across Vanuatu’s breathtaking islands.
Vanuatu, a Y-shaped archipelago of over eighty volcanic islands in the South Pacific, is celebrated for its dramatic landscapes, pristine coastlines, lush rainforests, and iconic attractions such as Mount Yasur, the world’s most accessible active volcano. The nation’s renowned products premium cocoa, organic beef, sandalwood, and unique tourism sites like the world’s first underwater post office continue to attract international interest.
H.E. Ambassador Prof. Hugh Aryee, Vanuatu Trade Commissioner to Ghana, emphasized that the upcoming Vanuatu Business and Pleasure Tour 2026 represents a landmark step in strengthening relations between Ghana and Vanuatu. He highlighted that this maiden tour will open new avenues for cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, agriculture, culture, and sustainable development.
According to him, the initiative reflects a growing commitment to deepen Pacific–Africa engagement and will serve as a strategic platform for building lasting partnerships, expanding opportunities for businesses, and showcasing Vanuatu’s unique potential to Ghanaian and African stakeholders.
