Veep Dr. Bawumia meets key stakeholders in Ghana’s investment drive

Ghana’s Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia this morning, on the sidelines of the ongoing 14th CII-EXIM Bank Conclave on India-Africa Partnership Project in New Delhi India, took the opportunity, together with the key stakeholders in Ghana’s investment drive, to showcase the Ghana Project and what Government is doing to create an investor-friendly environment conducive for business to thrive. That’s according to the Vice President in a series of tweets.

According to Dr. Bawumia, there was a lively interaction with the Indian Investor Community at a Forum dubbed: “Ghana Investment Opportunities.”

Vice President Dr. Bawumia said leaders of Indian-owned companies already operating in Ghana also took the opportunity to tell the Ghana story, while providing crucial feedback on ways to make the business environment even better.

According to Veep Dr. Bawumia, discussions have been concluded on the agreement between the Government of Ghana and Exim Bank of India for an amount of USD150 million for the purpose of Financing Strengthening of Agriculture Mechanization Services in Ghana and a USD30 million facility for the Yendi Water Project.

“Signings for these projects is expected to be completed next month.” Veep Dr. Bawumia tweeted.
