Leadership of the Christian Community have pledged their support for the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and efforts of government to stop the spread of the virus. The clergy further observed that since the outbreak of the pandemic, the State-Church partnership has been deepened and become stronger.
The Chairman of the Christian Council of Ghana, Most Rev. Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo stated this after a closed door meeting with President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House in Accra.
The Most Rev. Dr. Boafo announced a Three Day National Prayer and Fasting as part of the Church’s response to COVID-19.
President Akufo-Addo acknowledged the support of the Clergy to the fight against Covid-19. He said government will continue to solicit the views of the clergy and other stakeholders in the war against the pandemic.
