A visit by GBC to some churches in Accra Sunday, revealed strict compliance to the directive by President Akufo Addo, against large gatherings.

The visit showed an unusually quite environment around premises of these churches which ordinarily on Sundays would have been buzzing with activities.

Pursuant to fulfilling the current embargo on social gatherings including those at churches and mosques, many churches with the capacity have either taken an online or television broadcast approach to worship Sunday morning.

Some of the churches include the Presbyterian  Church, Methodist Church of Ghana, The Apostolic Church, Ghana, Action Chapel Chapel, Charismatic Evangelistic Minstry.

Although not exactly a new phenomenon, this was the first church service the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) had with an empty auditorium.

Founder and leader of ICGC, Pastor Mensa Otabil earlier admonished his congregants to adorn themselves as they would do on any other Sundays in preparation to join and watch the church service broadcast online.
