The facilities will be located at places identified by the beneficiary communities where children travel long distances to attend school. Touching on other concerns of farmers, Mr. Boahen Aidoo said government will receive 100 thousand motorized slashers by November this year, for distribution to cocoa farmers.

The slashers, will serve the dual purpose of clearing weeds and pruning over grown branches.  On ensuring fairness for farmers and licensed buying companies, the COCOBOD Chief Executive, announced, that government plans to introduce electronic weighing scales to prevent cheating of farmers.
