A member of the Coalition of Domestic Observers, CODEO, Rhoda Afful says the Electoral Commission (EC) should step up efforts to address challenges confronting the Limited Voter Registration.
Speaking to Ibrahim Kwarteng, on GBC’s ‘Behind The News’, Madam Afful expressed concern about the bad connectivity and inaccessibility of some centres on the first day of the exercise. She said going forward the EC should have backup systems to enhance its operations.
Spokesperson for the Electoral Commission, Sylvia Annor says the challenges faced at the registration centres are operational and implored the public not to make any generalisation since it is the first day of the exercise. She assured qualified applicants that the EC is working to resolve all issues encountered Monday.
