The Executive Director of Child’s Right International, Bright Appiah has called on the Ghana Health Service to come clear on reports of confirmed COVID-19 cases in some Senior High Schools a week after reopening for final year students.
Mr Appiah said his organisation picked up such reports as they toured some schools to monitor the situation.
Reacting to suggestions that final year BECE students should be tested before reopening basic schools, Mr Appiah said testing in this case will not be feasible because the students will be coming from home.
He said the attention should rather be focused on adhering to the COVID-19 protocols.
