GBC’s Radio Ghana visited some of the schools in the Metropolis including Choggu Demonstration, Bagabaga Demonstration, Ridge Junior High Schools and Tamale Senior High School where the teachers urged students to continue to practice major safety precautions such as regular handwashing and the use of hand sanitisers.

The Assistant Head Master of Tamale Senior High School, Abdulai Baba, said while preparing the  final year students for their WASSCE examination next month, there are measures in place to avoid over crowding in the dining halls and dormitories.

Some of the students have agreed to serve as ambassadors to help educate their parents on COVID- 19.

A final year student, Amadu Abubakar admitted that the closure of the school will affect their studies because there are certain topics they should have revised with their teachers before the WASSCE examination takes place.
