Data Link Institute holds 10th congregation

Data Link Institute of Business and Technology (DLIBT) has held its tenth congregation for 160 persons after completion of their programmes of study.

The graduands pursued various courses in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with 40 majoring in Accounting, 30 majoring in Human Resource Management, 35 in Information and Communication Technology, 14 in Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and a total of eight graduated with Masters in Computer science (By Research).among others.

The Acting President, Mrs Ingrid Ansah, Data Link Institute of Business and Technology, appealed to the graduands to continue the process of develop qualities including the capacity to think and research independently, listen politely.

She said the education acquired at the institute would give them the confidence and knowledge to overcome challenges in life.

Mrs Ansah added that the institution had given them the tools and they were to use those tools to uplift themselves to bring about the needed change in attitude to work such as honesty and integrity which were lacking in society.

She said the world needed a new leadership of people with integrity and they were to go into the world and contribute to the changing of the world with the education they had acquired  from Data Link Institute of Business and Technology.

Member of Parliament for Kpando, Mr Della Sowah, charged the graduands to make a difference by putting into practice everything they had learnt.

She said technology was available and was always changing and so they needed to be ahead of it by constantly seeking to know what was going on in the field and desire to progress adding that if they did not get a job, they should create one for themselves and make a difference in the society.

Professor Kwasi Preko  of  Department Geophysics and Meteorology, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and. Technology (KNUST), who represented Professor Kwasi Obiri- Danso, Vice Chancellor of  KNUST, was very proud to be associated with DLIBT adding that it was gratifying to know that DLIBT had products in many reputable companies across the country.

He reminded the graduands that the world of work was very competitiive and as result; their ability to exploit opportunities would go a long way in setting them apart as achievers, adding that they should avoid cutting corners and all forms of misbehavior.

He said the graduands were seen as people who were to bring hope to their generation by finding sustainable solutions to everyday problems through designing of better systems and procedures.
