There has been fighting in the Ebola epicentre in DR Congo between government troops and a rebel force.
The mayor of Butembo said 12 people, mostly rebel fighters, have been killed in clashes with the Mai Mai militia.
The Health Ministry has issued an order suspending all activities of Ebola response workers in the town until further notice.
More than one thousand people have died in DR Congo as a result of the Ebola outbreak which began in August last year.
