The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has commissioned a new office at Tarkwa in the Tarkwa Nsueam Municipality as part of efforts to ensure easy access to its services.

It is also in line with the vision of the Authority to stand out as a centre of excellence among state agencies rendering services to the public.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, Kwasi Agyemang Busia, the inauguration of the Tarkwa office joins a catalog of new improvements and innovations that has been introduced, to help create an environment that will harness their services in a well-equipped structure, within convenient and reachable distance for clients.

He further outlined some strategies put in place to upgrade their services.

The Regional Licensing Manager, DVLA- Takoradi,  Emmanuel Teye Narh, said the DVLA’s core mandate is to promote good driving standards, and ensure the use of road worthy vehicles.

He said the coming into operation of the new Tarkwa office, will help ease the pressure and challenges associated with vehicle licensing.

This, Mr Narh said, is as a result of the growing human and vehicle population, due to business expansion in some of the districts.

The DVLA, according to him, will continue to extend its services to the districts to make it convenient for people to access their services in a hassle-free environment.

For his part, the Manager of DVLA, Tarkwa, Kwasi Bona Serebour, expressed appreciation to all who played a role in making the new office a reality for the people within Tarkwa and beyond, and entreated them to continue supporting the Authority in their endeavours.
