The Eastern Regional Health Directorate has raised concerns about the safety of frontline health workers, after it was confirmed that one frontline worker among the contact tracing team in the Eastern Region had passed on.
In an interview with GBC Sunrise FM in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional Director of Health, Alberta Biritwum said 25 percent of the cumulative cases of the covid-19 victims in the Region have been identified as Health care workers, a trend which she says is worrying.
Mrs. Biritwum announced that the Region has 213 cases of COVID- 19. She stressed the need for appropriate PPE’s to be used and called for extra caution on those who attend to the cases.
