Some pharmacists at the pharmacy department of the Eastern Regional Hospital have started the production of hand sanitizers on a large scale to be sold to corporate organizations and business owners to prevent the spread of the COVID 19 pandemic.

The volume of the sanitizer ranges between five hundred milliliters and four-point -five litres.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, a Pharmacist at the Eastern Regional Hospital, Oppong Gyan said the hand sanitizer being produced by the hospital contains seventy percent alcohol, glycerin and fragrance.

He explained that the fragrance of the sanitizer has been intentionally made mild in order not to trigger any asthmatic attack.

He, however, added they are very effective in fighting bacteria and viruses.
