The Electoral Commission (EC) has given all political parties up to 13th of this month to submit their audited accounts to the commission.
Preparations for the election of MMDCEs and District Level Elections are also underway. These were contained in a statement by the EC, after the Commission met with the Inter-Party advisory Committee, IPAC in Accra.
Briefing the media on the key decisions arrived at the meeting, Head of Communications at the Electoral Commission, Eric Dzakpasu said the Commission has drafted a constitutional instrument to regulate the 2019 referendum ahead of time.
Mr. Dzakpasu gave updates on the Representation of the People’s Amendment Act, ROPAA and entreated political parties to work to address the issue of vigilantism following the violence that marred the Ayawaso West Wuogon By-election.
