15 Tutors of Bueman SHS recognized for producing students with distinction in 2020 WASSCE

Management of Bueman Senior High School (BUSEC) in the Jasikan Municipality of the Oti Region has rewarded 15 tutors whose subjects’ students passed with distinction in the 2020 WASSCE.

The recognition was to motivate other tutors of the school to deliver to position the school among the 1st Grade Second Cycle Institutions in Ghana.

 An Awardee, Wisdom Aziafor urged students to take their studies seriously, with the goal to excel. He encouraged tutors to make lessons interesting and easy for the student to excel.

In a related development, the Regent of Bimbilla, Naa Abarika Attah has honoured the headmaster of the school, Rev Edison Tetteh Adzigodie for his outstanding leadership skills.

He was also honoured with a Chieftaincy title, “Malgu Naa” meaning a Chief of Peace.

Naa Abarika Attah praised Rev. Tetteh Adzigodie for improved academic performances and discipline among the students. Naa Abarika Attah who was accompanied by his elders said a number of Nanumbas who are working in various sectors of the economy were trained at the school.

‘’A number of Nanumbas including one Adam Adu Marshal, the former Principal of Bimbilla E. P. Training College among others attended this school and that has inspired many Nanumbas who are intellectuals today. We wish to State that, we have no doubt that our children who are

in Bueman Senior High School would be intellectuals in the days ahead and we also wish to send more students to the school”, he noted.

Rev Tetteh Adzigodie expressed gratitude to Regent Naa Abarika Attah and his entourage for the honour, saying that it had boosted his morale to work harder. He said management of the school will continue to train students to acquire academic knowledge and moral values that will enable them to be useful citizens to the development of the country.

“We in the Bueman SHS instil discipline and knowledge in our students to make them socially adjustable to society and run an open and accountable administration where everybody has a space in the day-to-day affairs of the school, as a result, the impact is clear as our WASSCE results keep improving every year” he said.

The Jasikanhene Nana Edje Tete Kpase-Brantuo noted that the occasion had established a bond of friendship between the people of Jasikan and Bimbilla.

‘’From today we have become brothers. The two of us will lead our people in a relationship that will be of benefit to both towns and our traditional areas”.

Nana Kpase-Brantuo urged Management and students of BUSEC to work hard to achieve academic excellence to uplift Jasikan.
